UNKLE: New Album Details
James Lavelle is in the studio with Steve Dub mixing the latest UNKLE album, Where Did The Night Fall. Be excited, be-be-excited. The only bummer is Richard File isn’t in the band anymore… dude kinda balanced the group out. We’ll how it goes without our favorite member this time around, fingers crossed.
I wasn’t too big on their last not-so-proper album, End Title… Stories For A Film; I’m hoping this new album captures the same dark, sexy vibe that permeated War Stories. With the guest appearances that have been revealed so far, there’s good reason to be hopeful: Katrina Ford of Celebration will be lending her vocals to “Caged Bird,” psychedelic droners Black Angels are featured on “Natural Selection,” and Mark Lanegan is gonna spit and growl on “Another Night Out.” Oh yeah, last but not least, Autolux stepped out of their black hole and did what they’ve described as a “dance song” called “Joy Factory” with Lavelle and Pablo Clements (Psychonauts).
Keep it in your pants, kids!
