Jay Reatard actually is in love with the Smith Westerns, and he took them on tour with him, and so is Nobunny, so I wonder if those kids are influencing the others instead?

Did you know Smith Westerns were Nobunny's backing band during a spring time tour? Just throwing it out there...

I like how you caught the Marc Bolan feel to their sound... exactly what I've been feeling hearing too.

I feel you. And definitely I'm impressed with songs like "Glam Goddess," "Be My Girl," and "Tonight."

Now, "Give Me Some Time" on the other hand, is a good song, it just feels like No Bunny wrote it for them. Just too distracting. And I don't think these guys are insincere, just less confident than they should be in some tracks. I sense the band is excited about playing music. Overall, I'm liking the high points of this album a lot and definitely want to see where they take it.

I know they are kinda cliche in a lot of ways, but I think the songs on this album are pretty good. Every one of them is better than Jay's new single. That guy is way more insincere, even if some of his stuff is good, than these dorky 17 year olds. They might be singing about not getting laid, but unlike Dashboard Confessional, they really are not getting laid. I wish I could have wrote a song as good as the glam goddess or give me some time when I was still in high school.
