Why is everyone hating on Blur? I’ve always like Oasis but c’mon. Even their really popular songs like ‘girls and boys’ has substance to it. You can’t hate on blur.

Gorillaz audio-diarrhea? You MUST be an Oasis fan :P

Oasis wrote a few good tunes but spent way too much time being little weenies and hogging the media. Blur are easily a step above Oasis. Several, actually.

And Demon Days is a pretty effing good record. Don’t hate on Gorillaz.

On the Blur v. Oasis battle [which I thought occurred about a decade and a half ago], I’d have to choose the Stone Roses, or Pulp, as being better than both bands.

Oasis hasn’t tried since the 90s, so Blur edges ‘em out because they pushed themselves a bit more, especially on “13.” Yeah, Think Tank was a turd, and Gorillaz is audio-diarrhea, but at least they haven’t rewritten the same album 5 times. I’d say Oasis has pop songcraft figured out a bit better though, but they’re just kinda… static.

Oasis wanted to be the Beatles and failed, Blur wanted to be the Kinks and failed. Either way both bands were cunts and shouldn’t if made it out of the 90’s
