NEW RADIOHEAD JACKET: Also Recording, Playing Festivals, And Digitally Distributing.

The most important thing in the world to Radiohead is that you know about their new jacket. The clothing article is constructed from recycled plastic bottles. Sounds like a nasty British rash waiting to happen. And for only 45 euros.
Also buried in the w.a.s.t.e. e-mail update, are tiny news items such as upcoming festival dates for the band and the fact that they are currently recording in the studio. But why care about that boring non-sense when we have a new Radiohead jacket? Right?
And not that we’re upset about Radiohead recording (we’re not), but isn’t it four years too early for Radiohead to back in the studio? We had expected them to score three films, make solo albums and break up a few times before they saw the mixing board again.
Regardless, the band is picking up some momentum with today’s announcement of upcoming festival dates and a digital department expansion for w.a.s.t.e Dot Com. Perhaps you can catch some of the new Radiohead material at their upcoming festival appearances:
August
Fri 21 Austria – Frequency Festival St Poelten Austria
Sun 23 Czech Republic – Vystaviste, Bruselska Cesta Prague
Tue 25 Poland – Cytadela City Park Poznan
Sat 29 UK – Leeds Festival (sold out)
Sun 30 UK – Reading Festival (sold out)

Digital downloads are available for purchase from the w.a.s.t.e shop, including Disc 2 from the In Rainbows discbox, Thom Yorke’s Eraser, and Johnny Greenwood’s score to There Will Be Blood.

If you paid ME £45 I -might- wear that technicolor abortion of a jacket. Oooh it’s made from recycled bottles! That’s right, Radiohead has managed to get their fans to pay money to wear actual garbage. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve got most of their albums and have seen ‘em live twice, but they sure know how to milk their fans for money when it comes to merch.
