Masters of Reality have a brand new studio album called “Pine/Cross Dover” coming out later this month on Mascot Records. If you aren’t aware of the man behind Masters of Reality, Chris Goss, head your poser ass over to Google and type this champ’s name in. You will find that he’s recorded or mixed or played on or somehow been involved in a lot of your favorite records. Well, at least lots of my favorite records. Dude has some small names under his belt such as: UNKLE (“War Stories”), The Duke Spirit (“Neptune), Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, Mark Lanegan Band, Ian Astbury, Nebula, Soulwax, Screaming Trees and many (if not all?) of the Desert Sessions. Homeboy is known in some circles as the Godfather of Desert Rock. I know him as the best joint roller I’ve ever laid eyes on. No matter what you call him, he’s one killer dude.

Anyways, back to Master of Reality… the reason I’m writing all of this… Chris has just finished his sixth Masters studio album and from the sound of the first song on the record he just emailed me, “King Richard TLH”, the shit fuckin’ SLAYS! I can’t wait to hear the rest. This is the first record in six years and Chris enlisted a few of his weirdo rocker friends to help him bring this baby together nice and rogh. The roll call of weirdo-rockers you’ll find on this disc: Brian O’Connor (AKA The BOC) on bass from Eagles Of Death Metal, John Leamy playing the shit outta the drums and sharing guitar duties are Mark Christian and Dave Catching from Eagles of Death Metal, Earthlings, QOTSA (and a whole bunch of other bands I can’t remember right now). All you need to know is the song below is FREE, the record comes out soon (you need it) and the band will be on tour in Europe real soon. Hey at least one thing cool is happening in the eastern block…
