No, it didn’t take until 2009 for them to be noticed. Some of us were watching these guys play in the 90’s. So happens that in 2009 we got an interview with Greg. And I’m pretty sure the important thing is not the year, but the fact that we’re the only big site giving respect. Anything these guys touch is gold.

And I’ve heard things about how Crypt Records pulled some “Hollywood Accounting” on them. Fuck that guy.

no one ever cared about the Oblivians. they probably sold 1,000 records throughout the 90’s. Crypt Records fucked them. it took til 2009 for people to take notice? thats sad. though better late than never

Congrats Chipmunk! Nice, cosy interview. Greg’s a lefty on guitar but digs the toe cheese with his right hand, I like mysterious men. But yes, I really listened to the interview and it makes next weeks gig in Amsterdam very interesting to me. Thank you
