I tried man. I really tried hard but for some reasons unknown to me, the rock gods did not smile down upon me this past week and slide me two free Pixies tickets so that my broke-ass could take my wonderful girlfriend to see them play Doolittle in it’s entirety for the record’s 20th birthday. Everyone I know that went to the show said it was great which only made me more jealous. At least we got to see Frank Black play a rad solo gig at The Mint a couple mounths back (which was fucking awesome and as intimate as your doctor telling you to cough but way less painful). Normally I would have ponied up and threw down the $120 for two tickets but… wait, no I wouldn’t cuz that’s HIGHWAY ROBBERY! I wouldn’t pay that much money to see Nirvana reformed with Kurdt back alive from the dead and Mudhoney headlining. No fuckin’ way ace! Who the fuck has that kind of money? Not people like me who don’t have real jobs! Whoa boy am I really fuckin’ lucky that my girlfriend loves me anyways cuz all I was able to get her was this lousy free live Pixies EP. Love you baby!
