Fuck yeah! Another slab of Mexican Summer vinyl I’m sliding into my DJ set. Side A of this 7 inch is making me re-think my loafy opinion of their newest full length “Rush To Relax” out on Goner, I’m gonna give it another listen. This Australian four-piece are not fucking around in the least. Their sound tells me they’ve got lots of records by Wire not to mention The Fall. And I’m gonna bet they’ve even got some Troggs and Gang Of Four lying around. At least that’s what it sounds like to me. Aside from Hungry Jacks, Nick Cave & Kylie, this band is my favorite thing from OZ. Check out Side A, it rips almost as hard as Mudhoney covering Spacemen 3, almost.
