As I mentioned here on this site before… I’m really excited about The Cassettes’ record we’re putting out called ‘Neath The Pale Moon. The band just put together a really cool podcast called "The Cassettes’ Radio Hour", which is just what the title suggests it might be… an hour of The Cassettes in which you can hear their entire new album complete with radio static, old time radio commercials and a very authentic classic radio style sounding DJ. The best part is you can download it for FREE and (just in case you’re wondering) the download speed is pretty fast for once (because we’re not hosting it). So, check out their podcast and let us know what you think of it by giving us some feedback in the comments section. If you really dig what you hear you can order the record from Itunes, buy the cd from our webstore or wait till November 14th and pick it up at your local record store (tell em to order it dudes). If you need more of The Cassettes check out their novel sized Wikipedia page… it’s good reading kids. If that isn’t enough reading for you, make sure to check out the "steam-punk" Wiki page. The Cassettes have their upcoming tour dates posted on their myspace page and in addition to those shows, they’ll also be preforming live at the Buddyhead CMJ party/show @ The Lit Lounge in NYC on November 1st, 2006 along with Modwheelmood, Wires On Fire & The PoPo… click here
for the flyer.

Seeing as how Aaron and I are pretty excited about our radio show we just finished, I figured I’d post it here for download as well for those of you who haven’t heard it yet. We’ll be doing new shows every month or so, depending on how busy/lazy we are. Check the radio page for updates. Speaking of, here’s some text I copied and pasted from that page… Welcome to the first installment of "The Buddyhead Show", our very own internet radio program. Buddyhead’s Aaron North and Travis Keller will be your hosts and guides throughout this 2-hour rock n’ roll extravaganza smorgasbord sumpthin-er-other. The show is crammed full of good tunes, an interview with Karen O and Nick Zinner of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, a phone conversation with our Canadian correspondent Nardwuar the Human Serviette, and a drunken exchange with The Captain where he explains the scuffle he was involved in at the Leeds festival in England last year. The interviews were conducted back in late 2004, so that explains the dated questions, but it’s entertaining listening nonetheless. Check back here in the coming months for even more installments of the show. Click the here stream it or here to download it! A big slap on the ass to Ian Rogers for compressing this file so it’s downloadable, seeing as how Aaron doesn’t know jackshit about that crap.
