Unlike anything out there today, Honeyhander is a puzzling band which pieces together noise, electro-pop, glitch, and post-punk with a goth rock edge. Think of a Violator-Psychocandy lovechild who went to some fancy Rhode Island art school and came out a perfectionist irate with the world. This is him bitchin’ for 16 minutes, but its actually enjoyable to listen to. Picking up where new wave left off, Woolly Mannerisms oddly make you wanna dance, bang your head, and wonder how the hell you’re gonna them out of your head.

Not a lot of time for an extensive post here, largely considering that those of us living in Southern California are living on borrowed time. Reportedly, a massive earthquake is imminent based on geological records and the data collected in 1977 by Larry Graham, former bassist of Sly & the Family Stone. Graham’s findings, succinctly titled "Earthquake" are collected on the Graham Central Station album, Now Do U Wanna Dance?

This amazingly thunderous noise-funk jam sounds more akin to early-90’s bands like Steel Pole Bathtub and/or the AmRep roster than it does a disco-infused funk-out. If you like early Funkadelic, but want a little more "delic" in the mix, this is the sound for you. Check out the crazy freak-out in the middle. Larry Graham is a God. And, lo, he tried to warn us nearly 30 years ago of our impending doom.
Perhaps Sly was also trying to tell us something with his equally far-too-advanced recent Grammy Awards performance.

Radio Vago have called it quits, but now you can buy their self titled farewell/debut full length which Omar A Rodriguez-Lopez from The Mars Volta produced and played on. Seeing as how the band broke up it won’t be coming out on cd or lp format, but you can buy it digitally on itunes (or pretty much any other digital music service). If you’re a fan of The Mars Votla, Radio Vago or just wanna put a few dollars in our pockets to keep this website free… please buy this crap. Thanks for dealing with this advertisement. It was as painful for me to write as it was for you to read.

Here’s another blast of Nardwuar… This time it’s Narwuar head to head with that actress who played Audrey Griswold in Christmas Vacation and now plays Iggy Pop in her faux punk band "Juliette & The Licks"! Does it get any better than this?

Our friend from Canada, Nardwuar, has lent us a few interviews to post on our blog. You’ll be seeing different ones pop up here over the course of the next week or so. Thanks Nardwuar! You can also catch him on our first radio program The Buddyhead Show interviewing Snoop Dogg and on Gimme Skelter interviewing Iggy Pop (yeah shamless plug I know). Here’s Nardwuar making that lame disco band, Bloc Party sound really stupid. These dudes are bigger dorks than I imagined…
