I'm not positive, but I think a few dozen bands on Kill Rock Stars also wrote those songs in the 90s. On a positive note, listening to it did kinda gave me the idea to turn a distortion pedal into a toilet-flushing mechanism, which would be kinda cool, but probably not worth the effort to rig it up.
