Axl Rose Defeats The Internet

Uncle Axl has done it again…
According to the Associated Press, Kevin Cogill has been spared jailtime/fines and was sentenced “to serve two months of home confinement, subject his computers to government scrutiny and record a public service announcement for the Recording Industry Association of America” after posting nine songs from Chinese Democracy on Antiquiet last year.
A sincere congratulations goes out to Mr. Rose and his team for successfully suing the only person who did him a favor by promoting Chinese Democracy, a task which later proved to be beyond the capabilities of a band that houses seven other contractually-obligated nobodies.
With the case resolved, GNR can now move forward by releasing the music video for “Better,” which Axl promised would be out “in a week or so” last December. If not, perhaps a reunion for real this time, whether it be the MR. ASS lineup (McKagan Rose Adler Slash Stradlin) or the Use Your Illusion configuration. If Rose wants people to show up to his concerts – you know, the ones he bothers to attend himself – fans prefer a certain top-hatted individual and not one that plays a foot-shaped guitar. Pick up that phone, Axl. You know you want to.
