Lite-goth supergroup, A Perfect Circle, are kinda back. Doesn’t seem like they’re a full on band again but they are milkin’ it and releasing a 13-track (or 19 tracks if you plop down the big bucks for the super-fan deluxe edition) greatest hits comp entitled “Three Sixty” on November 19 2013. It comes with a new song called “By and Down” that (from what the super-nerds of the internet tell me) has been played live since 2010 and is their first new song in nearly a decade! Damn, guess Maynard’s been busy making wine in Arizona… I really wish he was busy making a new Tool record but then again wine is prolly more popular than Tool if you think about it.
A Perfect Circle – By and Down (Studio Version)
As if a greatest hits wasn’t enough A Perfect Circle for you, Billy and Maynard also have a 4CD/1DVD digital box set coming out on November 26. The box collects live performances of all three of their studio albums — 2000′s Mer de Noms, 2003′s Thirteenth Step, and 2004′s eMOTIVe (which means you’re prolly gonna get a live version of their totally unnecessary cover of John Lennon’s “Imagine”) — a DVD of a 2011 performance at Red Rocks. No word on if they plan to play live soon, if Jeordie “Crap Legs” White will return to the band or if they’ll have The Icarus Line open for them again. Only time will tell!
