Tenacious D Are Doing Stuff

I’m not a huge Tenacious D fan… You’ll never catch me at a live show of theirs (unless it’s open bar on John Silva), wearing a T-shirt of theirs or even owning an album of theirs… but hey, I get the joke. I’ve even prank called em, you can buy that on fuckin’ Itunes, put it in your pipe and smoke it.
So yep, the star of KING KONG (the re-make of the re-make) Jack Black and the other fat dude, better know as the rock-duo Tenacious D are back…even though their last work defined commercial flop. That kinda shit doesn’t matter cuz one of is famous and they are both friends with Dave Grohl (which is like having a get outta jail free card in the music biz).
Read on for the teaser via SoundCloud.

Tenacious D’s first and self-titled record (backed notably by Dave Grohl on drums and guitar in the studio) stayed just below the radar the whole time, propelling Black’s career forward. Even though almost every song has a some phallic-references and self-referential lyrics, the 14-yr old me bowed in reverence.
Two years after managing to carry School of Rock, the music went south with Tenacious D The Pick of Destiny. Nothing had changed from their style, but everything seemed that much less original. So now I’m left wondering if another Tenacious D record will start an upswing for Jack Black…or if he’s truly squandered his legacy to the point where even brave KG can’t save him.

If you’re really excited about this, chances are it’s been years since you’ve touched a girl… fix that.

Great job here. I really enjoyed what you had to say. Keep going because you definitely bring a new voice to this subject. Not many people would say what you’ve said and still make it interesting

Tenacious D were unforgettable, amazing and I would recommend to anyone who is a fan! The fact that they acted out scenes whilst giving such a great performance was epic! I feel that the start up act were average and were not a similar genre or status of epicness to support The D, However, they got people to listen and get prepared for the amazing of the D! Jack Black and Kyle Gass are also such genuine people, as we waited around the corner of the 02 Apollo after the show they came outside signed things and shook hands with fans, something you would expect stars of such a high status not to do, Overall, I loved the concert and would genuinely recommend it to any fans!
