What lay above is the new Mazzy Star single that drops like a lovely bomb on October 31 as a new single, “Common Burn” b/w “Lay Myself Down”. A limited-edition vinyl 7″ will be available soon, via Mazzy Star’s own Rhymes of an Hour label. Damn she’s mint!

The single was recorded in California, London, and Norway by Hope Sandoval and David Roback, who will embark on a series of tour dates sometime in 2012, after which they will release an LP of new material. Hopefully this all goes down before the world ends and all. Buddyhead can’t fuckin’ wait!
