I’m real proud of these dudes… kinda seen em grow up rockin’! And look at em now! OK, first let’s rewind and let me ramble…

Mini Mansions was born in a weird-smelling dusty room somewhere in the San Fernando Valley when longtime friends Michael Shuman, Zach Dawes & Tyler Parkford came together to rock with only a keyboard, bass and drums. And rock they did. Their brand of melodic stuck-in-yer-fuckin-head psychedelia rock n’ roll gives some serious nods to The Beatles, The Zombies and pretty much everyone else in the Nugggets boxset. I approve.

And so does Mr. Josh Homme who not only is putting out Mini Mansions debut LP on his own on Rekords Rekords but also employing Michael to play the shit out of the bass guitar in his own rock n’ roll outfit that you may have heard of called Queens of The Stone Age. Before all this big time shit Michael was in a little band called Wires On Fire that signed to my tiny little label at around age 14 years old. Check them out.
But first check out Mini Mansions Daytrotter Session (but do yourself a favor and download it HERE from us cuz otherwise you gotta sign up for shit and they install all this bullcrap onto your computer you’re not gonna want – WEAK SAUCE DAYTROT) where you get four live versions of some of their best tunes, a cool little story and a cute little cartoon of the band where Zach is rockin’ a //psychedelicjudaism tee and Mikey is a blonde! Hey it’s a cartoon!

And while you’re riding theses guys dicks make sure you check out all the fucking music videos these freaks have tricked people into making for them (they’re all pretty good too), download some free mp3s off their studio album, sign up for some email lists and peep their Blondie cover…. I think it’s swell. You can find it on the b-side to their “Monk” 7-inch single out on indie-powerhouse-label Psychedelic Judaism.
