Since we last checked in, the tightest loud band in Wales (prove me wrong) have changed lineups, losing their bassist and adding Julia Ruzicka (million dead) on bass and Jimmy Watkins on second guitar. That’s right. The new Future of the Left record will have TWO guitars on it, and probably some keyboards as well. The band is in-studio now, with hopes to have the record out by the end of the year. These are hopes, people, not guarantees. Either way, you can get an idea of how easy they’ll be for your garage band to cover with these clips below. Don’t adjust your computer speakers– they’re just drum tracks.
You may need to fire your drummer. Apparently, some of the proposed song titles include “Sorry Dad, I Was Late to the Riot,” “Failed Olympic Bid,” “Notes on Achieving Orbit” and my personal favorite: “Robocop 4: Fuck Off, Robocop.” Check out some old jams and new jams in a live context with this show from Australia in January.
