The 'Barefoot Bandit' (Colton Harris-Moore) Back on U.S. Soil!

To me, this kid is proof that these younger generations aren’t total bullshit and do have a few things up their sleeves. In my eyes, Colton Harris-Moore is a modern day folk hero. His story is similar to “Catch Me If You Can”, but in my opinion it’s even crazier considering all of today’s technology he seemed to have eluded for so long. Why would the “news” rather talk about Lindsay Lohan and LeBron James over the Barefoot Bandit? I feel like I was born at the wrong time or as Joe would say… maybe not at all. Anyways, the Barefoot Bandit was born the year punk broke (1991) and he just made tons of cops and several governments look like utter retards. He’s either gonna get hung or he’s gonna get the best government job catching bad guys almost as smart as him ala “Catch Me If You Can”. That’s after they make his movie… damn it’s gonna be a good movie if they don’t fuck it up.

His wikipedia says: “He is suspected in the theft of at least five small aircraft, a boat and two cars, and in the burglaries of at least 100 private residences in various locations around the Pacific Northwest of the United States and Canada. He fled to the Bahamas on July 4, 2010, allegedly in a plane stolen from Indiana.[9] He was indicted on July 6 by a U.S. Federal Court in Seattle, Washington on charges of transporting another stolen aircraft in that state. Harris-Moore was arrested in Harbour Island, Bahamas on July 11, after police shot out the engine of the boat he was attempting to flee in.[4] Two days later, he was deported from Nassau, Bahamas to Miami, Florida and transferred on July 21 to SeaTac, Washington where he is awaiting trial.[8] He became known as the “Barefoot Bandit” or “Barefoot Burglar” by reportedly committing some of his crimes barefoot, once leaving behind a chalk footprint. Despite the widely-reported nicknames, officials said that he more often wore shoes.[2]”

But I’m no Anderson Cooper (fuck, I’m not even close to a Gideon Yago) so even if I try and give you the facts correctly… I’m gonna fuck em up. It’s called Google it bitch! I see a transgression of folk heroes, from Frank Abagnale, to DB Cooper…then to this guy?? One basically turned the world of fraud detection on it’s ear, stealing millions in the process, all while impersonating a lawyer/doctor/airline pilot. The next hijacked a plane, got $200,000 in ransom and then parachuted from the motherfucker never to be seen again. The next…stole some ice cream from empty houses, and played GTA for awhile, but he stayed away from San Andreas, and instead opted to roam around the forest area, devoid of cops.
