Black Rebel Motorcycle Club have announced that their fifth studio album will be called “Beat The Devil’s Tattoo” and it’ll be out March 9, 2010, via the band’s own Abstract Dragon label (through Vagrant Records). Shit yeah! This will be the first album their new drummer Leah Shapiro plays on. They stole her from The Raveonettes. Judging by their new press photo above the band not only looks wet, but they look like they mean business this time! Grrrr angry rock band! The best part is the band (or maybe their loyal fans also clad in black?) have been spray painting the name of the album all around Los Angeles! Punk rock!

The band recently released a 2 DVD, 1 CD that they ironically called “Live” earlier this month. But I can’t tell you if it’s any good cuz I STILL HAVEN’T GOTTEN A COPY! But I read in their press release that “The DVDs feature more than two hours of concert footage captured from three sold out shows in Berlin, Dublin and Glasgow, and chronicles the end of the band’s 2007 tour in support of Baby 81. Additionally, it includes intimate, behind-the-scenes footage, glimpses into the making of 2005′s Howl and is rounded out with a bonus live album featuring 14 songs.” Shit man, wish I had a copy to review!
In the meantime download this remix of one of my favorite songs (“Not What You Wanted”) off their last record (“Baby 81″) that they band gave away on their website to superfans (like me) a while ago. Dig it.
These dudes are going on tour for a long time and you know they’re packing a lot of black t-shirts!
