Sometimes you don’t have to search for news; sometimes the news finds you. Usually this means you’ve got an attention whore on your hands; or, rather, face down in your lap.
A few days ago, we found out that some dude was suing Bon Jovi and Major League Baseball for $400 BILLION. You can read what we posted about that by clicking HERE. This POSER, Bart Steele, fancies himself a “multi-instrumentalist and anarchist” and emailed Buddyhead with his very own press release, telling us we got the story “very wrong.”
Like we give a shit, dude. Baseball is boring as fuck, but we’d sit through an indefinitely tied game stone sober rather than have to hear either of the songs under dispute ever again. (You can check out the guy’s myspace here, but only head over there if you have tons of free time and you like to inflict pain on yourself – you’ve been warned: “Man I Really Love This Team”)
In short, Barty is appealing the court’s decision that favored MLB and Bon Jovi and tooting his own horn; this is America, nothing new.
Regretfully we gave both songs a once-through and consequently feel like the asshole of our ears have been given a run-through. Our verdict is that both songs ARE similar in that they are both very shitty excuses for “songs.”
Again, fuck you Bartley! DORK!
