I haven’t had enough time to spend time with the new Portishead record to tell you if it holds up against the first two and the live record or not. I’ve been busy hanging-ten on couches and whatever else it is I do. Aaron probably could give you a track by track break down on this bad boy, but getting him to write something for this site right now while he’s recording is like trying to get Michael Harris laid. Near impossible. So you’re gonna have to do some research yourself…

i’ve always loved portishead and this song sounds pretty fucking sick. i can’t wait to get this album. it’s portishead so obviously it’ll take time to grow on me, like the others did, but once it does **eyes glaze over**

Michael Harris has a cute butt & he seems sweet. Getting laid shouldn’t have to be so diffcult. And if there is a pool of money why is someone not giving it to those in need, i.e. you?

This new P isn’t what I expected. It’s different, industrial-ish, I like it, I think. I’ll have to hear the rest of the record.
Harris wouldn’t be bad if he lost those gay looking 80’s style glasses. Those are bad. Maybe that look is an LA thing. …meh.

Yeeeeeah, I have to agree that Beth and the gang have spent more time touching/loving Dieter’s monkey than they have banging out the musical equivalant of colonopin. “Silence” was okay, but the whole time I was listening to “Machine Gun,” I kept wishing that I was listening to “Turnstile Blues” by Autolux instead. Shit sucks big time.

“Silence” is the baddest jam I’ve heard out of English people in a while. Radiohead wishes they wrote this. I’m glad that they didn’t just come out with another album that sounded like the previous ones. There are some killer sounds on this album.
