New Oasis single & video
In the haze of craziness from everything that’s been going on here at Buddyhead this past week… you know the usual… new websites, new writers, & Aaron’s new male life partner… it looks like we fucked up once again and somehow forgot to tell you about the new Oasis (digital) single! Yeah, we don’t know how we forgot to tell you about the greatest current rock band’s “new” song either. Even if it is just a left over song that didn’t make the cut for their last album, it’s still way better than anything else we’ve heard lately.

So anyhoo… On October 23rd, Oasis released a new song called “Lord Don’t Slow Me Down” which features Noel on vocals and is also the theme song to the rockumentary film of the same name that’ll be coming out on DVD real soon. We recommend that you buy the single from Itunes by clicking here, dime your stereo and head-bang while brother Noel kicks you down some knowledge about being tired, on drugs and hungover. We’re sure you won’t be able to relate… Oh, and check out the video dudes…
Now, let’s get some opinions… what do you guys think of the song? The video? The forth-coming DVD?

Seems like the brothers have been listening to too much Neil Young lately…That song sucks ass! Not only that, but since these two nimwits haven’t done anything significant since the 90’s, all they got to put in their video is old footage from their hayday arena shows back in the 90’s…Pathetic.

First off… too much Neil Young? No such thing you jack-off. Secondly… that footage is from their 2006 tour dumbass, not the 90s. The dead give away would be that Andy Bell (RIDE), Gem and Zack (Ringo’s kid) are in the band. Do youself a favor and check out their last record “DONT BELIEVE THE TRUTH”.. it came out in 2006 and RULES. You just got TORCHED! Thanks, come again.

better get some toast for that delicious jam! thanks.

Looks like all that blow Liam is doing is totally doing them awesome. Warren are you kidding me dude? The 90’s? REALLY? That shit about too much Neil Young bums the shit out of me. Have you listened to Neil Young or anything besides Champagne Supernova? Don’t come to buddyhead trashing the best band left on earth. Know your facts NIMWIT!

Sounds like this guy needs to get Harvest.

Are there more than one version of the DVD? The reviews on Amazon are totally banging on about the DVD not being the full release or something. I was gonna preorder the thing, but I’m not sure if there are multiple versions.

I dont usually write comments, but its ignorant people like Warren who piss me off. If you have no idea what your talking about, just shut up. Honestly, even though they’ll never top definetly maybe or the morning glory album, their still one of the only relevant bands left. Whats relevant now? MCR? fallout boy? sum 41(who are 30 and still making videos on football fields)? THere are no decent young bands in the mainstream, so as long as thats going on, ill listen to old oasis and wish i was a teen in the 90’s and ill listen to new oasis because the music is just good.
I hate how alot of people my age are fooled into thinking MCR and fall out boy and panic at the disco are speaking for their generation or whatever. how can mcr speak for a generation if their not even a part of it- their in their 30’s! so why are they talking about being scared of teenagers and ripping off nirvana for that video. they should just take those gas masks and shove them up their asses because no good video or mediocre song will distract the fact that their pretenders.i rather listen to oasis anyday. Maybe Warren needs to really LISTEN to the song and let noel speak to his brain.

Am I the only lamewad enjoying playing Frustration on the DVD website? Andy seems to have a serious issue rolling a 6, though.

My ex-girlfriend doesn’t like the fact that I think Oasis is the best band going. That is why she is my ex. I mean seriously, Editors and Cold War Kids over Oasis? I had to dump her. Bad musical tastes and bad oral sex skills means it is time to move on!

yesterday a guy told me that the Strokes were way better than Oasis. He is dead now. And oh, i was at a Happy Mondays concert dude. The HAPPY MONDAYS !

“Ella Rouge blends nuances of Elton John, Scissor Sisters and a modern Billy Joel…infectious Scandic-pop!”

It turns out that the recipe for rock & roll success isn’t a very difficult one at all.
Simply take six talented musicians and isolate them in a cozy studio on an island in the Baltic Sea.
Add some outrageous weather, complete with hurricane-force gales, to help concentrate frisky young
minds on the task at hand. Sprinkle in a variety of impromptu magical musical moments, and voila you
have the formula for the amazing self-titled debut album from the sextet of Swedes known as Ella Rouge.
Enjoy New Music From Sweden, I did!

blender magazine made brother noel something like fourth on their 40 worst lyricists in rock….
November 18th, 2007 at 10:21 pm
Blender is still a music magazine? I guess its right behind Rolling Stone being relevant to music or good bands.
November 19th, 2007 at 8:44 pm
Anyone who puts Fergie on the cover of their magazine shouldnt be allowed to like Noel.
November 19th, 2007 at 9:00 pm
Im shocked Noel got around #16 for NME cool list and Josh Homme got #40. What the fuck there is something very macabre about that.

new song and video are amazing. got to see a sneak preview of the movie a few months ago. favorite part:
austrailian female reporter: “what’s a pre-show ritual for you”
liam “wank!”
btw, that cunt warren needs to blow me.

Buddyhead should get a “Meet Noel Gallagher!!” contest rolling. He’d have to be naked. I’d have to win.
Just a thought.

January 17th, 2008 at 6:08 pm
Okay, the song is great. fuck Blender magazine. It’s a TABLOID for retardos.
If you watch that Britpop documentary “Don’t Look Back” the bros say the best lines. They pissed me off many times but you know what? This is Rock AND Roll bitches. Stop the Hate in ‘08!

You know I wish this ‘Many’ people were passionate about my music! I’ve got loyal fans and I am thankful for them but you folks are amazing!
Love it or hate it(Warren) how cool is it have so many talk about your work after as many years as Oasis has been in the biz? I personally think this song rocks! I wasn’t crazy about Oasis when they came out - but I love where they are heading. I just put out a solo acoustic album and I am preparing for an album with my band; I needed to hear something like this!

hey travis, how about you respect others’ opinions and lay off the insults. Stop taking things personal. The world does not revolve around your inflated ego and what it identifies with. :)
February 17th, 2008 at 5:49 am
How about you get a sense of humor nerd-bucket
February 18th, 2008 at 2:39 pm
Oasis is great and all but this part of the site is sucking ass right now. Bring back the funny.
I have to say tho, that this is Travis’ (and that woman North) site so basically it can revolve around his inflated ego and whatever the fuck else he wants BUT it does have to be funny and right now?
FALLING SHORT.
