AA Bondy - American Hearts
No I haven’t left this place completely yet… it’s just summer and I’ve been doing a while lot of nothing. Doing nothing takes up a lot of time man. And I can’t get a job in LA so I figured I’d just throw the towel in on the whole "I’m trying to get my shit together thing". Instead, I’m headed for Europe to freeload on the Nine Inch Nails tour starting this coming Saturday, click here for the dates. I can’t wait for all the festivals like Reading and Leeds, should be tits. If you’re gonna be out there, send me an email and if you’re not a weirdo and/or you wanna buy me drinks maybe we’ll meet up.
Anyways, enough about me, this new AA Bondy record is seriously one of the best things I’ve heard all year. It’s near perfect. My friend Sam Velde hipped me to this bad boy a few months ago and I haven’t stopped listening to it since. It’s actually the singer of that band crappy band, Verbena, but from the sound of things homeboy has turned the suck WAY down. "American Heart" doesn’t come out until September 4th, but you can order it now from the Superphonic Records website for a mere $13. Do it. From what I heard this dude turned in like three full records so we should see a lot more tunes from this talented young gentleman really soon. Either way, we win.

We just wrapped a 3 day Folk Fest in Calgary :)

Personally, I liked Verbena, but this solo album from AA Bondy is just a breath of fresh air. Fan-freaking-tastic! Mr. Bondy, I already want more!!!

Errrr reading and leeds are hell on earth.
Thousands and thousands of drunk teenagers. Half of them are there to get drunk and watch fall out boy. The other half are thugs there to get drunk and beat the other half up.
But I don’t know. Maybe the VIP section is the total opposite, with gold plated toilets, banqueting halls intelligent and charming company free drugs for all etc etc

i saw verbena open up for the jesus lizard in nyc back in the late 90s and own 2 of their records. i always thought this guy’s voice had way more potential than verbena’s nirvana rip-off songs and cliche lyrics could afford it. i like these tracks. thanks for the heads up on his new record.

i’m confused you said verbena was a crappy band…….but yer gonna freeload off of NIN in europe…..hmm free shit band is cool?? poor broke band that actually fucking rocked…crappy….weird, i don’t get it.. but maybe i should listen to more burning brides in order to figure this one out…
