Again we apologize for the lack of updates. We know all of you with jobs haven’t had anything to do at work since there hasn’t been anything new posted here for you to read, but hey we’ve been on tour. You sit in a van for a month and see if you feel like typing on a keyboard about rock n’ roll once you get out. So anyways, The Icarus Line are still on tour, I (I being Travis) left the tour early in North Carolina (yeah for some reason I left AFTER Florida and not BEFORE… had to make sure I experienced that peach of a state – fuck Florida) and headed to New York for a week – now I’m back in the City of Angels, the show in Boston tonight is the corporate rock Gods known as Cave In’s last night of tour but The Icarus Line will continue on towards California with eight new dates starting in PA, traveling down through Indianapolis, Memphis, and finally the large swollen and bleeding assholes known as Texas and Arizona. Bring it home guys! Here are the new dates. Photos from the tour and a new issue will be up soon. Keep it in your pants.

12/08 Lancaster, PA the Sex Caldron (Without Cave in)

12/13 Lubbock, TX Campus CDs (Without Cave in)

In the “as-if-anyone-still-cares” category, Dag Nasty is going to be heading into an unnamed recording studio in early January 2002 for a reunion CD on a “relatively well-known independent label.” Hmmm…. Maybe Epitaph? Brian will be writing the songs and Dave Smalley will sing. They won’t tour.
The Neptunes band N*E*R*D played their first LA show ever at the Viper Room about a month ago… yeah we’re slow these days. Pharell was missing his voice so him and his fellow N.E.R.D.s only played 5 songs. Everlast’s fat ass was there and so was B-real from Cypress Hill. At first we were kinda bummed we missed it (you know, tour), but from the sound of things it look likes this newly recorded version of their album and a beer in Ohio was just about as good.
The new Radiohead live EP is out. Get it.
The new Spiritualized is better than water. Buy it.
Anyone that has some server space for our mp3s should email us. Our last one died or something.
Sunny Day Real Estate’s Dan Hoerner sold his soul so that he could officially join the soulless organization known as Dashboard Confessional. We’re sure they will be touring the Midwest real soon and finally resting for eternity in the burning pits of hell.
There’s a rumor floating around that Rocket From The Crypt might break up. We also heard that horn dude who quit Reel Big Fish is joining the band. We’re hoping that neither one is true. Unless of course either one means that somehow we get a new Hot Snakes album.
If you like hip hop check out the new Dilated Peoples record.
Supposedly at Lucy’s (135 Avenue A – between St. Marks and Ninth – New York City) they have The Icarus Line’s “Feed A Cat To Your Cobra” on their eclectic jukebox. Someone confirm this.
Amoeba is the best thing to happen to L.A. since… well, ever.
